In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Pretty good stuff. Served at a good temperature with a thick, foamy, cream colored head that lasts and lots of lace. Color is clear amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is hop, grapefruit, resin, malt. Flavor’s like nose, balanced, bitter, dry. Body is full, soft, with mild carbonation; perhaps a touch too mild. Finish is like flavor, quite long, and satisfying. Could drink another of these.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus & earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate citrus bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. This is a good beer.

Bottle, this IPA had a clear orange-copper pour with some burnt orange colors at the sides of the glass, and made a lasting three finger faint off-white head that had a little orange tint to the bubbles, the head receded to a thick cover (head was made up tiny bubbles with many bigger bubbles, swirling the glass made a thicker cover), the glass had plenty of carbonation with a good center stream and some other streams in the glass, this drink left nice spots and fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass, there were aromas of toasted malt, light orange fruit, light bread, citrus and fruity hops, bread and malt sweetness, it had flavors of toasted malt, a little grain, light orange fruit with citrus and grapefruit hops, there was a little fruit and bread sweetness, the finish had a hop bitterness that dried the palate, it had a less than medium mouth feel and felt creamy on the tongue, a nice, tasty IPA.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a one finger light tan head. The aroma is very citrus rich with orange and grapefruit prominent. The flavor has high bitterness with assertive grapefruit character, a medium body, and a long bitter finish. Excellent IPA.

This begins with a nice hoppy aroma, with some pine and citrus notes. It pours a clear amber with a large off-white head. Nice blast of hop bitterness, with just a touch of malts to balance it out. The bitterness lingers for quite some time, with a solid body to support it. A very nice, everyday drinkable IPA.

Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt and hop aromas of cereal, roasted, caramel, pine and grapefruit, lght soap for the yeast with date and brown sugar in the background. Heas is large, frothy/fizzy, light beige with excellent thick lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is clear medium amber. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic to start, and finishes lightly acidic and heavily bitter. Palate medium, slick with a soft to lively carbonation. Great balance between the malt and hops in the aroma, and very well rounded flavors in this superb IPA.

Hops a bit too unbalanced. The hops dominate, of course. Aside from the citrus, pine, and dirt aroma, there is a distinct foot smell. The citra hops are underwhelming.
