In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

On tap at Little Woodrow’s. Pours bright amber orange. Amazing fresh melon, pine, pineapple aroma on this one. Flavor is the same along with smooth finish, not as bitter as I like, but easy to drink and smooth all the way down. Excellent session IPA -- I’m converted. Excellent example of the style without being way over the top.

Bottle; poured a dark orange with a large, frothy off white head. Aroma of orange, earth, citrus, pine. A bit of caramel. Very resinous aroma. Flavor also had an oiliness to it from the hops. A nice hop bite in the finish, which lingers, and then gives a hint of caramel-sweetness. Alcohol was fairly assertive for the abv. Yet, it was quite drinkable.

Clear deep copper coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall off-white head and a nice rich bronze glow. Aroma of fresh grassy and resiny hops, a lot of apricots, some sugars and a little bit of malty earthiness. Medium-bodied; Assertive piney and floral hoppiness up front with a good bitter malt earthiness and some light caramel noticeable. Aftertaste shows a good blend of hops and malt, some lighter caramelised sugar flavours and a pleasant fruit flavour to finish off the beer. Overall, a decent beer - not amazing, but wroth trying if you can find it - the balance between the hops and malt were great. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased earlier today at K&E Beverage Center in New Paltz, New York sampled later in the evening at home in New Paltz on 21-July-2012.

(bottle - 22 oz) Hazy gold pour with a thick and fluffy white head. Good citrus and floral hop aroma with the lightest peppery hint at the end. Really nice dry citrus hop flavor at the start with a good bitter middle but not too bitter. Still gives some of that sweet and juicy citrus note at the finish with a sweet aftertaste.

Pours a clear medium orange color with a huge thick foamy white head. Big floral and citrus hop nose. Taste is slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Lots of fresh citrus and floral tastes. Not much malt backbone though. Seems a bit over-carbonated and foamy too. But its got a good fresh hop taste and is pretty smooth. A pretty good IPA.

bottle. clear amber with a medium-sized white head. orange gelatin candy and resin nose with hints of orange oil furniture polish. with the sharp resin and bold orange candy aromas I expected something full-bodied and sweet but found it more medium-light bodied (especially on the back) with only marginal sweetness. carbonation was fluffy but malt was a bit too coarse. twangy amber malt and resin with moderate bitterness, but the flavors overall are quite muted and almost neutral. when warmer, chlorine / chemical flavors combine with vegetable / dank / green hop flavors to give it an "old swimming pool" quality. the nose is certainly bold and easy to "get", but not a Hebrew product that I find myself liking much (though they do make the occasionally good beer, I admit).

Pours a clear copper/bronze with half an inch of rocky off-white head. Aroma is big bright citrus/grapefruit/pine - evidently a pretty complex mix of hops. Tasting it provides a similar bright hoppy picture, with a good malt backbone. Definitely bitter, but not aggressively so. Lovely balance.

Wow. So, this was hoppy without being overpoweringly so. Extremely smooth and easy. This is one of the better IPAs I’ve had. Awesome.

Bomber poured a clear goldn amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, skunk bud, pine resin, earthiness, grapefruit and lemon zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, pine, earthiness, grapefruit, lemon zest and light skunk bud with a smooth dry bitter lingering earthy grapefruit finish.
