3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours deep, transparent copper with a fluffy, cream-colored head. Aroma of piney and citrusy hops, a good amount of caramel malts, and a hint of spiciness. Flavor about the same. Smooth texture. A pretty good IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: clear golden orange with 1 finger sudsy tight white head. Aroma: grapefruity citrus up front, slight pine notes, and hints of caramel malt. Taste: balance of pine bitter and sweet floral hops, nice sweet malt and bitter dry finish. Mouthfeel: thin to medium, slick body, dry aftertaste. Overall: really great IPA. Very impressed. Nice multi-hop flavor with well balanced malt backbone.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Binny’s Arlington Heights. Aromas of citrusy hops, light tropical fruits, and some underlying sweet malts. Flavors of sweet malts, light citrus, and some light bitterness in the end. A bunch of test batches and this is what they picked? Maybe a bad bottle. I assume this is probably fresh as it is the first time I have seen it, but hops seem faded. Oh well I usually like the hoppy offerings from this brewery.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Kind of surprised I’m the first to have this. Gorgeous copper pour with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is big floral hops, citrus fruit, pine and caramel. Taste is pine needles, citrus fruit, hop resins, herbal notes, floral notes, sweet malt, caramel notes, and tropical fruit. Damn tasty! Body is medium but chewy with a resinous feel and soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more floral hops, citrus notes, pine, caramel, hop resins, sweet malt, ad tropical fruit notes.

22oz bottle. Rating #16. Dark orangish/brown color, hazy with a dirty white head. Sweet caramel malt and piney hop aroma with a little grapefruit. Light bitterness up front with a slight fresh aftertaste. Decent enough. (2188)

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster at RateBeer awards dinner. Smelled of pine and floral hops. The flavor was slightly less full than anticipated. Smooth on the palate making it an easy drinker. Would like to try again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 ounce pint - $6.25 at Taco Mac in Canton, Georgia.
Appearance: Fairly hazy appearance falling somewhere between tan and copper with a small, near white head. Thickish, sticky lacing on the way down.
Smell: Slight florals but a nose full of lemon -- the pith, the juice, the fruit -- over scant, lesser malts barely yielding hints of grain and characterless bread.
Taste: Initially, a muted breadiness with some hints of sweet cookie crumbs. Strong lemony, citronella flavor, though with almost an artificiality to it, like a sprinkling of Crystal Light powder. Late-breaking resins and floral accents. Moderate bitterness. Dry, lemon-lamenting finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It’s okay, though I’m not entirely sure where to place this review, as neither the beer menu nor the tap handle mentioned anything about multiple, well-get-it-right-eventually batches. So, digging into the forgotten, dust-covered sack for a 4-sided die, I rolled a four. Batch Four it is!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Taster at RateBeer awards dinner. Aroma was of piney fresh hops and flavor was muted but same. Pretty good, but wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be. Good beer.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Yuck! Almost a drainpour. Aroma was perfumey with grapefruit and lemon notes. Pour was a hazy dark orange with a little off white ring for a head. Taste was pretty bad. Very thin and watery. Light roasted malt and caramel form the backbone and not much else happens until after the swallow. The mouth is left bitter, soapy and wet. No carbonation is what kills this beer. Each sip was harder and harder to swallow. A little carbonation would’ve brought this beer up into the mid 2s but that’s it. Blah
