In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Orange-dark amber hue with a nice head of foam. Slowly dissipating head. Mouthfeel is very carbonated, almost like soda. Smooth and easy drinking, never full or cloying or sweet. Tastes like a really good draft IPA. Very similar to Finch’s Threadless IPA. I really enjoyed this beer.

Bomber from ABC on Apalachee. Copper pour with fluffy white head. Aroma is caramel, honey, floral. Tastes are sweet crystal malts and then pine, resiny bitter. Tea vibe. Little dry in the finish.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. It poured from the bomber an orange-amver. Beige head. Lots of lacing. Nose of grapefruit. Medium body. Resinous mouthfeel. Flavor of grapefruit and pine hops. Dry bitter finish. Classic IPA.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. This is coming across as slightly oxidized. Pine, resinous hops, hints of citrus. There is a firm bitterness and some bready maltiness. Meh.

Passable brew. Thin head. Notes of hop. Traces of citrus. Semi-smooth wash down. Ok. But not earth shaking, Definitely will not rock your world.

Sample at GABF 2013. Pours clear golden with a medium off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, yeast, fruity hops and light grapefruit. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Nice hazy orange-copper appeal, just a thin but firm head. The aroma is quite strong, full of rich, resinous pine sap, hinting at a viscous beer. This drinks lighter than you’d expect from the aroma, but still has a nice big hoppy bite, stingy almost with an outdoor pine nectar. (#5255, 9/18/2013)

Tasted from a bomber. It poured a hazy amber with a big, frothy, off-white head and sporadic lacing. Citrus hop aroma with a touch of grass. The mixture of hops comes through in the taste, with a punch of bitterness in the finish. L’Chayim!
