In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Okay. Not my kind of IPA. I prefer a simpler, lighter grain bill so the emphasis is much more on the hops. There are malt flavors that taste well, but battle the hops. Overall, I like it, but simply don’t prefer all those different malts.

Bottle from Meditrina. Clear bright copper with lasting offwhite head and lace. Floral citrus and spice aroma. Mild bready toffee sweetness with assertive rind and pine bitterness with a reprise of melon and biscuit sweetness in the finish. Medium body aggressive carbo. Very good.

I must have gotten a old bottle of this, because this thing was cheese-ified to the max. No resemblance of an IPA whatsoever. I will definitely re-rate when another bottle is purchase...if another bottle is purchased. Blech.

Hugely hopped beers are either unpalatable or they make to the other side and transcend the bitterness of hops and enter into a new flavour profile which can now longer be called piney or citrusy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a new 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy orange-golden with a thick off-white head that settles to a thick ring and film, leaving lots of spotty, soapy hanging lace. Nose involves some dank herbal earthy stuff, some caramel, plenty of pine and some tropical fruit. Pretty sweet flavor, but also quite bitter. Medium bodied, oily, sticky, resinous, finishing on the dry side. Very nice, a beer I’ve walked past many times but digging the new format. Not a huge citra bomb, but it’s in there and I like the blend with the less trendy cascade and centennial.

Pours copper, slightly darker than style. White 1/2 inch head. Grassy citrus nose. Flavor is weird citrus almost alcohol citrus. Finish is real dry and lingering bitterness. Finishes well but begins weird. Those Hebrews are always good but different.

Pours hazy orange/amber with a tall, sticky, off-white head. The aroma is light flowery citrus hops. The flavor is smoothly bitter that sits on a chewy malt foundation. Good but needs a little more crispness to suit me.
