COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Aroma: The aroma has some nice hops, citrus, a little earth, and some caramel malts
Appearance: This one pours a clear amber color with a nice, cream colored head and average lace
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet with a nice malty flavor and a mid-heavy hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a decent feel, soft carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I have found this one to be a really nice example of an IPA. Good stuff. It hits nicely on most of the marks that you look for in the style.

650 ml bottle. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of bread dough, rubber, and tropical fuit. Flavors are similar with additional pine and resin. Thick and chewy.

Poured 22 ounce bottle into a tall .5 liter glass. Poured a cloudy deep copper color, with thick frothy head. Presented a great hop flower and noticeable aroma. The flavor is of a citrus and toasted grains. Large hoppy flavor, but not over the top. A great mouth full of IPA from beginning to end. Bravo!

A slushy, cloudy dark orange. The head quickly turns into slush. Minor lace. The aroma is pure hops; bitter, baby. Some woody ish going on here; no balance but a pungent scent. The taste is much more flowery; perfume and jasmine. Some kind of powdered ice tea. Prickly feel; what a good beer this is.

From a new 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy orange-golden with a thick off-white head that settles to a thick ring and film, leaving lots of spotty, soapy hanging lace. Nose involves some dank herbal earthy stuff, some caramel, plenty of pine and some tropical fruit. Pretty sweet flavor, but also quite bitter. Medium bodied, oily, sticky, resinous, finishing on the dry side. Very nice, a beer I’ve walked past many times but digging the new format. Not a huge citra bomb, but it’s in there and I like the blend with the less trendy cascade and centennial.

Bottle. Kind of surprised I’m the first to have this. Gorgeous copper pour with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is big floral hops, citrus fruit, pine and caramel. Taste is pine needles, citrus fruit, hop resins, herbal notes, floral notes, sweet malt, caramel notes, and tropical fruit. Damn tasty! Body is medium but chewy with a resinous feel and soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more floral hops, citrus notes, pine, caramel, hop resins, sweet malt, ad tropical fruit notes.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear copper color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big pine, citrus and resin hops. Faint bready malts. The taste is big citrus and herbal hops, pale malts and a bit of nuttiness. Medium bodied. Good.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bitter resin hops with some earthiness and faint toasted malts. The taste is bitter resin and herbal hops, toasted malts, butter, caramel and a lingering bitterness. Medium bodied.

fine aroma of resin & citrus with distant caramel. a little thin in the mouth, and while the thinness continues into the flavor it still maintains a just barely balanced hop edge, resiny grapefruit, an almost sour edge and that invisible sweetness balancing, Like all He Brews its assertive, and here in a (relatively) lighter format it proves quite muscular, warming.
