COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Clear, amber colored body, with a big, two finger thick head full of craggy foam. The smell was very hoppy indeed, evoking grapefruit and mandarin orange slices. The taste was a citric and bitter affair, and very clean. The malt backbone was a little nondeScript, and I think this could have used a bit more body. If this was ever tweaked up to a DIPA, it would be phenomenal.

Golden color. Big , white had . Aroma of citrus , pine and malt . Same notes in dry taste with significant bitterness. Nothing special, though decent IPA.

Dark copper beer with a medium foamy bright white head. Citrusy hop nose of grapefruit pith, pine resin, and lemon oils. Flavor is juicy with citrus flavors that coat the tongue and devolve into something oily and pungent, in a good way. Underneath is a bit of sweetness that comes through gradually. Pretty good and not overpowering.

Draught @ Albion. Cloudy lemony yellow with medium sized foamy off-white head, citrus aroma, lightly bitter lemon zest flavored thin body, medium bitter finish with citrus aftertaste. Very flavorful and refreshing brew, very much Citra dominated.

Deep golden/orange, medium cream head. Strong fruity and hoppy aroma. Taste as the best classic IPA: peach, apricot, tropical fruits, grapefruit, and hops lots of tasty hops. Medium bitter, smooth, medium body, bitter finish. Lovely.

Bue en juillet 2014. Légère (6.8%) mais on retrouve les ingrédients d’une 2ipa. Sucré, résineuse et houblonnée. Amertume de zeste d’agrume. Correcte

On tap at Mac Greg’s. Anne says pretty good not wonderful. We like the name. Earthy and fruity, and nice body. I’d try again.

Appearance is a medium golden brown with decent head/lacing. Smells of powerful hops and a touch of citrus. Taste is the prototypical IPA, great. Mouthfeel is clean, not too bitter or carbonated.

Bottle at the hotel room in San Diego. Hazy golden beer with a nice offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, caramel, bready, dill, some hay. Hoppy citrus flavor, pine, grapes, some biscuits. Not very fresh.

Pours orange-amber, nice creamy white head that retains and leaves lacing. Aroma of grass, pine, herbs, spices, sweet malt...really nice. Has that stock He’brew flavor which is rich and caramel yet spicy and distinctive to their beers. Maybe it is the yeast they use, but I like it. Well balanced taste, soft carbonation, medium body, creamy texture, and balanced finish. Very mild for an IPA, not astringent. Would revisit.
