Initial impression is it is similar to an English beer. A barnyard skunkiness. Reminds me of a Mikkeller slight hazy yellow but after all it is just a good IPA.

12oz from the sampler box pours slightly murky copper in body with off white head. The aroma is nice and pretty bold with rich tangelo and grapefruit and some pine like hoppy bitterness just churning around and around. The taste is full yummy spicy hops mixing with various citrus hop notes as well as resiny pine like hop bitterness too heading midway and into the finish. Darn nice IPA with plenty of yumminess to go around. One of the better IPAs I’ve had in a while.

Citrus, mid-range dry pine/hops in aroma. The flavor is citrus/hops with a slightly off body. Can’t detect what it is with the body that isn’t what it should be, this was drinkable as is but the body was off.

Bottle served in a tulip. Hazy dark orange with a short head. Malty, floral aroma. Medium sweet, light bitter flavor with malt dominating the mid-palate. The finish has a long, subtle bitterness to it for balance. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Too much malt for me.

Sampled in a 12oz bottle. Pours bright orange with a nice lacey head on it that dissipates and moves nicely down the glass. Aroma is big and hoppy. Loved it.

Review from notes at World of Beer - Fort Myers on 11/20/11. Poured on draft into a shaker pint. Appearance: Pours a hazy golden caramel with a 1-2 finger thick snow white head. Excellent lacing. Smell: Sweet citrus with a touch of lemon and lightly sweet malt. Taste: Sweet citrus and lemon peel up front followed by pale malt in the middle before ending with nice fruity hops at the finish. Aftertaste is bittersweet and light. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with good carbonation. Drinkability: High drinkability. You could have a few without much difficulty. Overall: Good beer overall. A very solid IPA that is worth trying.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy dark orange with about a finger of thick white head. Aroma of pine, citrus and a little caramel. Taste is light bitter. Pine, orange pulp and grapefruit. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall, I’m liking this beer. I would love to try the other test batches though.

Pours a pale orange with no head. Citrus and floral hops in the aroma with underlying caramel notes. Medium/full body with great bitterness and just enough malt to keep it enjoyable.

Bottle. Brassy hazy golden with a lustrous, thick white head that shows good retention. Aroma is sweet citrus, suggestive of tangerine, and spruce tips. Sweet malt with juicy bitter orange hop character, lightly piney. Finishes with assertive bitterness without being over-the-top pithy or astringent. I liked it, but then again I like pretty much everything these guys do.

Deep gold pour, white head. Citrus/herbal hops. Caramel. Flavor is a good blend of hops and malt. Great stuff.
