Shmaltz Brewing Company is proud to introduce our first single IPA limited release. A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in Hop Manna, the newest delicacy in the modern HE’BREW beer family. L’Chaim! Test batch 1 and 2 were delicious, and now batch 3 is ready and going out to the masses. Look for it in limited draft and 22oz bottles with a much wider release in 2012.

Draft @ redlight redlight. Pine aromas on the nose. Pours deep golden amber. Piney hop noted up front with nice malt flavors coming through. It has a nice body and mouthfeel.

Location: Draft at Hop Devil, 12/3/11, Rating # 1992, unfortunately, this one goes out to the last Redskins Super Bowl Victory, something that doesn’t seem too likely to happen again anytime soon. I’ll drink this one to Darrell Green, the Posse, the Hogs, the National Defense, and all the rest of the team that made that my favorite NFL Season.

Aroma: The nose is citrus, pine/resin and floral hops mostly
Appearance: The pour is a clear orange color with a white head and heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is mid plus sweet, citrus and mid-heavy bitterness, that is fairly resiny
Palate: The body is smooth and creamy with a fairly soft carbonation, and a slightly sticky feel
Overall Impression: This was on draft without a Batch # associated with it, but the tap looked exactly like the picture associated with this beer, so I’ll assume this is the one I was drinking. Personally, I really enjoyed this one. It is a good IPA with a nice mouthfeel that works well throughout. Nicely done here by HeBrew.

Was very pleasing to my "hophead" palate. Did not get a chance to try either Test Batch #1 or #2.

Draft at rattle with streets. Listed as shmaltz hop mama but I’m assuming it’s this one. Pours an amber body with light lacing. Aroma is fresh citrus hops and a light fruity malt in the background. Mouthfeel is refreshing with notes bitter citrus. Solid IPA.
