tmoreau (1668) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JAN 9, 2012
On tap and snifter served at Lunar Brewing Co., showing a hazed, orange/amber color, with soft white, silky head foam, and good cling to the wavey spray of lacing. The aroma was quite mild, with light floral and herbal hints, citrus and resin, but a detracting wisp of band-aid. The flavor was similar and also mild, yet an even tempered balance of soft malt and moderate "lingering through the finish" hop bitterness. The body was medium, the carbonation was soft, and the hop linked up with some pleasant dryness to finish the sampling. A decent, mild mannered IPA, but shaker, not snifter worthy.

Sampled a few months ago out of a bomber. A big time malty brew followed up with a genuine hop palate. Great stuff.

dumontn (529) - CHICAGO, Illinois, USA - DEC 22, 2011
On tap at Whole Foods, Pours very hazy amber with 1 finger of dense head and great retention. Aroma is not super "dry-hopped" but instead is heavy on the pine/resin and caramel with the "green" grapefruit notes dancing around the edges. Taste is very well balanced; bold caramel butts up against a hugely bitter resin and grapefruit hop profile. Body is medium, low carbonation, dry bitter finish.

beertholomeus (106) - California, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Pours copper color with foamy white head. Strong hop aroma with some pine and citrus as well. Hop, pine, citrus and some malt flavors. Medium body with very bitter finish. Pretty standard IPA.

Was very pleasing to my "hophead" palate. Did not get a chance to try either Test Batch #1 or #2.
