Poured with a HUGE foamy, frothy, tan head. Nose is distinctly dark rich bittersweet ripe fruit. Some hop in there but not much. The big booze is not so obvious. Good body. Drinkable, but not for loooooong. Very dark color. Pleasant finish. Good burps. Moses woulda liked this brew. Had this at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis. USA

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate complex toasted malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture. Heavy balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

Nearly black pour with a creamy and lasting tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, espresso and light citrus hops. Full bodied and creamy. Taste reveals a deep roasty flavor with some sweetness, caramel, coffee, dark fruit. Alcohol is present throughout and leads to a lingering, warm finish with a bit of citrus hops. Verrrry good.
