Bottle. Aroma is boozy with some caramel. Pours dark brown with off white head that clings to the glass. Taste is boozy with some fruitiness and caramel malt. Finishes mostly smooth with a bit of hoppiness and booziness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Bottle. Poured a nearly opaque dark brown color with thin orange highlights. The head was short and light brown with decent retention. Smelled of fig, chocolate liqueur, and a dash of brown sugar. There were also whiffs of tobacco and leather. Medium to full bodied with ample sweetness and a hint of roasty bitterness. Chocolate, fig, and hints of orange and alcohol-soaked apricot. An American strong ale masquerading as an imperial stout. Or is it the other way around?

Another nice anniversary ale from Hebrew. I bought this as part of a pack which had multiple anniversaries in one box so could compare them and this was one of the best. Very complex, very alcoholic, but the richness is a good compliment to its bite.

Pours a very opaque black, with a slight tan head that quickly disappears. Raisins in the nose and other dark fruit. Very malty and sweet taste. The 11% abv is well hidden making this a dangerous brew!

12oz bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Saved for rating #700. Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a thin bit of off-white head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, citrus, pine, burned sugar, booze and dark fruits. Taste is light bitter. Very hop oriented with some of the malt coming out to play in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Flat carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, very good. I would love to try this one again sometime.

The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is very similar to several other Jewbelation beers: a lot of roasted malt and chocolate, and fairly straightforward. The flavor is similar. There is quite a bit of chocolate, as well as quite a bit of booziness from the alcohol. There is also quite a bit of sweetness and some molasses-like notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Butters (3325) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 17, 2012
Sampled at the Irish Hanukkah Tasting. Sampled in line with the other ones from the vertical collection box. Same clear brown pour with decent ring of tan head. This one is VERY similar to 10. Not as heavy on the fruit, but still has the tannens and drying wood qualities. Good but not amazing.

The Eleven pours out a dark amber with red highlights on the bottom of the glass. A thick beige head dies to a non-existant cap but leaves thick, sticky lacing rings. The nose is sweet, malty and mildly roasted with a big note of licorice and a light earthy aroma. A mild grapefruit and hop note with some alcohol in the nose. Sweet in the middle with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A nice, subtle and yet powerful roast with a nice wallop of hop and alcohol on the finish. This brew has been sitting around for a year, but its really smooth and succulent for a big brew.
