Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 5, 2008 Deep reddish colour with a tan head. Dark fruity and alcohol sweet aroma. Fruity and alcohol sweet flavor with a light hoppy note. kennydiaz (60), staten island, New York, USA Sep 4, 2008 IT POURS DARK WITH A NICE THICK HEAD OF FOAM. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLUS ITS KOSHER. I WOULD CONVERT TO JUDAISM IF THEIR FOOD TASTED THIS GOOD ALSO. thornecb (1074), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Sep 2, 2008 Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention leaves spot lacing as it recedes to coat surface. Licorice and pit fruit aromas. Sweet and full upfront with caramel, figs and prunes. Lasting licorice and dry hop finish. Indra (1833), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Aug 21, 2008 22oz. bottle. Dark, sweet malt aroma, roasty and lightly fruity with notes of coffee, dark breadiness, chocolate, caramel, cola and some light, plummy fruit. Deep, dark red-brown color, nearly black, with a fine, but lasting, tan ring head. Flavor is predominantly malty as well, showing some dark fruitiness and hop citrus in the background, but otherwise roasty dark maltiness dominates, with suggestions of rich dark chocolate, espresso, prune, fig, toffee and with only a very slight bitterness at the finish. Palate is thick and smooth, body is adequately full. Far from the train wreck that it could’ve been, this one actually held a small amount of intrigue for me. sk8viking (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. A dark red beer with a big beige head. The aroma is of yeast, dark fruits, glue and alcohol, the taste is much the same just without the glue. Medium body with a alcoholic finish.
