Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. Deep ruby-brown with a medium tan head. Sweet and malty, with notes of molasses and toffee and green hops. Big, bold flavour, like a well-hopped porter, with a warm and lingering finish. Pretty nice stuff.

courtesy of retorp Pours dark brown, off-white head. Aroma is malty, light caramel nose, brown sugar and roast with some hints of hops. Flavor, abv is definitely present though not overpowering, still keeps a nice hoppy bouquet even two years later. Balanced with a nice malty palate, hitns of dark fruits, grapefruit and sweetness.

Draft at Brouwer’s. Dark brown, basically with tight thin tan nitro looking head. Roasty, dark cherry, blueberry, chocolate and tobacco. Light body with subtle carb going on. Not really flat per se, but again tastes like it is off of nitro. Thin and slightly tart. Roasty and some oxidation showing. Tobacco, chocolate, cherry, cranberries. Smooth for 11%, but this one is a bit all over the place.

Pours dark brow with a light brown head. Smells of chocolate, resiny, spicy. Tastes sweet and roasty with an earthy element on the finish.

20th April 2008 Opaque black beer with a frothy brown head. Sillky smooth with bags of malt depth and a chocolate undertone. Fairly hoppy finish which is dry. Mad beer but very drinkable!

@Freaktoberfest from bottle, my last drink at that evening, pours almost black with a small brown head, refreshing aroma with some malt sweetness and some lambicish notes, flavors of caramel, vanilla, borbon, herbs and a bitter salty finish, complex and medium to full bodied. Great

This bottled brew from a rating party at Patrick’s poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation dark brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting malty aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of dark malt brown malt and chocolate. A decent one that I would consider having again.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black color with a hint of mahogany red when held up to a light source and a thin beige head that quicly dissolves into a thin ring. Roasted chocolate malt aroma with hints of nut and an impressive hop presence. This beer has a nice balance of roasted chocolate maltines and bitter floral hops with chocolate, caramel, hazelnut, roasted coffee and sweet alcohol notes.
