COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Jewish tradition, 15 marks major commemorations: Passover (the Exodus), Sukkot (40 years of wandering), and Tu Bishvat (the New Year for Mother Nature) all start on the 15th day of the Hebrew month. 15 suggests a certain wisdom from experience: “Old is always 15 years from now.” – Bill Cosby. “We are always more anxious to be distinguished for one talent we do not possess than 15 we do.” – Mark Twain. After Andy Warhol, does 15 forever sound profound or frivolous? “In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes.” “Fame is the thirst of youth.” – Lord Byron. “The fact that my 15 minutes of fame has been extended is somewhat surprising to me and completely baffling to my wife.” – Barack Obama. For Matt EP: Hall of Famer Bart Starr rocked #15 as MVP in the Packers’ first two Super Bowl victories. “South Park” evolved from “Jesus vs. Santa” and is now entering its 15th season. “We’re rehabbed and ready for our 15 minutes of shame.” – Marilyn Manson. Lyrics from Barry Manilow’s 2011 album, 15 Minutes, released on QVC Network: “Make me a deal, I’ll sell my guts for glory.” “Fame and power are the objects of all men. Even their partial fruition is gained by very few, and that at the expense of social pleasure, health, conscience, life.” – Benjamin Disraeli. After 1,972,350 sets of 15 minutes of Shmaltz Brewing, I’ll hoist my Jewbelation Quinceañera and sing 15 rounds of ¡Viva la Evolución de He’brew! L’Chaim! Jeremy Cowan, proprietor

22 oz. bottle, split 4 ways, pours a deep dark orange with a small beige head. Aroma of dark fruits (cherry, dates, figs), toffee, caramel malt, some roasted notes and a bit of floral. Flavour of dates, figs, cherry and other dark fruits, roasted caramel malts, grape juice, brandy, but little booze coming through surprisingly - how is this 15%? Finishes with dried fruits (figs, dates) with almost indiscernible alcohol. Very complex, but quite sweet. Nice slow sipper.

12 oz bottle at the CDA Casino, drank in the hotel room while waiting for my wife to get out of her spa treatment. Pours black with brown edges and ruby red tints when held up to the light; has a centimeter-thick beige head that collapses fairly quick. Aroma is raisiny, caramelly, alcohol. Taste is powerful strong, malty sweet and meaty with only a hint of bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is oily, carbonation is medium-low. Pretty good, definitely a sipper.

Pours opaque black with dense tan head. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, roasted malt, dark caramel, and booze. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate, molasses, and has a very smooth finish with little alcohol apparent. There’s a lot going on in this one with lots of complex flavors. This is a very big beer and one hell of a value at $6.99 for a bomber. Definitely worth trying but drink it with a friend if you prefer to sleep in a bed.

22oz bottle. 15% ABV, although there is a sticker over the label says it is 10.9 ABV. It’s a Georgia thing. Black pour, milk chocolate colored foam. Aroma of dark fruits, chocolate malts, alcohol. Tastes super sweet, loads of residual sugar, malt, huge date sugar sweetness. Not that strong, ABV well hidden.

This poured a medium muddy brown color with basically no head at all. Aroma was sweet caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and alcohol. Flavor was much the same, very very sweet with lots of residual sugars, some toffee and dark fruit notes. Just way to sweet for my liking with not enough other flavors to make it complex.

Malty and boozey, but sweet. Strong ale that would probably be better in about 18 months.

Whoa, that % going up every year is really starting to show! Last year I was lucky enough to buy myself the big box of 8-14 and it was really great to compare them back to back, so after a year I can taste that similarity is still there, though it’s starting to fade behind the heavy handed booze... I’m not really getting the aromas, a bit stuffy. Very strong flavours, the hops and the malts and the oy yo yo! wow thats sort of off colour for me but this is really a zinger in your mouth. (thatswhatshesaid) Very strong hops but it’s balanced will with the very strong malt and the very strong %. Maybe too strong on the %. Did I say that already? Didn’t get a lot of head, very dark, balck, oily. Really clings onto your mouth parts so after you swallow you can sort of wipe it off the surfaced in your mouth and taste it again.

The name of this beer is malty. the beer is full of many dark roasted flavors of toffee, caramel, candied sugar, cocoa and a bit of spice. the hops are apparent but not as distinct as one would think. this beer is a masterpiece of flavor, yet it is not to be drunk without care.

22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a beige ring of bubbles. Always challenging to put words on these brews considering all the varied ingredients. Smells like chocolate cake, raisin, orange peel, dates and caramel. Thick and creamy with a sexy tingle. Taste is honey, fig, caramel, espresso, orange chocolate and dates but not as sweet as it seems. With all the stuff involved it’s amazing this is so approachable, alcohol almost completely hidden.

The aroma is quite strong and complex with dark fruit, malt, hops, spices, and alcohol. The appearance is almost black with a small head. The taste is like the aroma and is super sweet. The palate is smooth. Overall this beer is hard to enjoy from the incredible strength but has some great qualities.
