3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours a dark cola brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, herbal notes, wood, the alcohol is noticeable, but not quite to the 17% that it is. I wonder how this will age?

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Surprisingly black, soft and thin foamy tannish head, little lacing.   Big rich bready and roasted malt nose, a bunch of alcohol, at 17% its a bit hard to hide.   Hard to believe that this one is 17 malts and 17 hops.   Moreso, hard to believe its 17%.   Big and rich breadiness on the tongue.   From the get-go you know this is gonna be a bruiser.   Big huge malty background, strong biscuit and roasted malts.   Almost nearing Imperial Stout territory.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   This is a big beer, very big beer.   Its a combo American Strong crossed with Imperial Stout.   Young but not green.   Well built beer, especiall for something that is 17%.   Thick and rich, this one will put a lot of people.to bed!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2014 Shared by jayhawk73. Thanks Jeff!
The beer is dark brown with a thick beige head that fades to nil after a few minutes. The aroma is intense. Lots of pine and alcohol. I can’t pick out any specific hops or malts individually but it smells like there are copious amounts of both. Whoa. This is a slow sipper.
Probably best to split this beer 17 ways.
Or maybe drink it over 17 days.
If you drank this by yourself, you’d have a hangover for about 17 hours.
I could think of 17 beers I’d rather drink.
If you poured this over Frosted Flakes, you might puke about 17 times. You might need to do 17 loads of laundry if this happens.
Full bodied and viscous. oily, resinous hops and a sticky, syrupy feel. Not for the feint of heart. Bold, brash, flavorful, loaded with alcohol and an armada of malt and hops.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle poured into the small shaker-type glass that came with the holiday pack. Deep brown with a slight creamy tan head that you’re likely to miss if you blink. Complex aroma with earthy notes of dark fruits, molasses, alcohol, and even a bit of smokiness. As for the taste, there’s a lot going on here. But what would one expect in a brew that has a total of 34 malts and hops? It’s definitely malty and slightly sweet... it’s even a bit salty to me. One thing it’s not, though, is cloying. Previous entries in the Jewbelation series have been overly syrupy, but not this one. It conceals its massive ABV quite well, and is therefore somewhat dangerous. In any case, I enjoyed this one a lot. L’Chaim!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rich dark brown. Toffee malts. Strong taste and strong finish, just the way I’d expect. Bit of a malty-chocolateyness to it. How could I not give it an overall score of "17."

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottles from Smith’s and Capone’s. Pours medium in viscosity, and not nearly as thick as a beer this big should dictate, with minimal tan head. Nose is Gargantuan roasty dark malt, blackstrap molasses, hops. Tastes rich but not dense at all in palate heft, and somewhat light in palate density. The flavor is big charred dark malt, hops, molasses, mild plummy and nutty notes. Tastes a bit discombobulated. A mild disappointment for the good Doctor.
