22 oz. bottle, pours a near-black with a medium tan / light brown head. Aroma brings out loads of treacle toffee, molasses, caramel and a little booze. Flavour brings out loads of molasses, a little treacle toffee, roasted malt, and some burnt notes. This is rather decadent and amazingly well-rounded, surprisingly -- since the last few Jewbelations have been cloyingly sweet messes. This one, however, is not sweet at all, with a highly roasted, dry and somewhat treacly finish. Really good stuff.

Bottle:   Nearly black, moderate light brown head, frothy, nice lacing.   Seems like a Stout or an Imperial Porter.   Alcoholic nose, sweet bready malts, slight dark pitted fruit.   Oh boy, very warming on the tongue.   Very bready, very salty, and very Baltic Porter like.   Has a sweet strong Soy Sauce aspect, salty and screaming for some damn shellfish or something.   Immense breadiness on the tongue, strong malts, along with alcohol.   The 16% ABV is noticeable.   Its a bit caustic on the tongue, high alcohol, rich/sweet bready malts, aggressive dark pitted fruit, saltiness galore.   This one needs to sit for a while to mellow out.   Oddly enough, its not as hot as it is caustic in all the other variables.   I can deal with the alcohol, but holyl sheeeet, the rest of it just smacks me in the face.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Its chewy, no doubt about it.   Sweet Sixteen, how can you be so abusive?   This one is rough, brash, and will cut you on the edges.   Good for a small dose.   Good thing I am not required to drink the entire bomber, or else I might get real angry.   Good, but leaves me feeling like I just got beat up!   I recoil each time I take a big gulp.   I want to run away, but I can’t.   I must stand my ground!

Pours a really dark brown with a thin disappearing head. Aroma is bourbon-like, with hot alcohol and burnt sugar. Taste is sweet (!) and boozy (big surprise...) Flavors of dark toffee but alcohol always comes up on top. Mouthfeel is full and sticky. One glass is enough.

Thank you to BlackIPA for the chance to try this fantastic beer.

Pours menacing and black with no light , not even around the edges. A little thick but not so thick like oil. Had a fair head of beige foam that fell fast and left a big ring with enough lace to look at. Nose is dark and roasty. Chocolate and a bit of fruit. Hops take a backseat but I do get a little plum from the nose. Drinks smooth and a little hot. Milky chocolate and full malt. Molasses, brown sugar, raisins. Medium heavy body and very creamy.

Drinks hard with the alcohol but pleasantly so. The heat lingers at the back of the throat and the chocolate is divine. I got a few hints of spice on the nose but so far none of the cinnamon allspice and ginger that other people talked about. Maybe it needs to warm. Big beer. Really big beer.

Kind of a non-descript one here. Chocolate malts, decent bitterness, boozy.

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99 (Dec. 2012, from notes). Pours black with a small beige head that doesn’t really last. The aroma has huge dark fruits, figs, chocolate, sweet malts and tobacco. The flavor is big and boozy early. With some warming you get dark fruits, raisins, some roast, chocolate, molasses and tobacco. This is pretty busy, but I enjoyed it for the most part.

22oz. bottle. Here we go, the next in the amazing lineup of trainwreck beers this brewery brings to the table. Roasty, sweet, dark malt aroma, lightly spicy and hoppy with notes of coffee, raisin, cocoa, dark brown sugar, some medicinal alcoholic tones, cherry and faint vanilla in the background. Dark brown-black color, pretty solid, with a faint, dispersing, light brown head. Flavor profile is quite sweet and alcoholic overall, with plenty of dark sugary sweetness dominating the subtler malt nuances of dried fruit, dark chocolate, smoke and earthy hop, and with a big, warming, spicy, alcoholic finish. Low in effervescence but quite prickly and syrupy on the palate, utterly coats the mouth, body is gigantic to match. Rather intimidating stuff, both to start and to finish.

Bottle. What a sweet boozy mess. The aroma was actually not that bad. Vanilla laden, sweet toffee, caramel and fruity esters. But the taste. Ultra sweet, diabetic coma inducing sweet, thick, syrupy and boozy palate. A monster ale, designed by and for monsters, without my enjoyment in mind. Only drain pour of the night.

A bit of everything, with those 16 malts. Caramel, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, soy sauce. Very, very rich. Some dark fruits. Some medicinal flavors, and a bit of Jagermeister if I’m not mistaken. The 16 hops are indistinguishable from the stronger malt flavors. Dark brown with a minimal head. Warming. Why am I drinking this in 92 degree weather? Ah well... it’s pretty good.
