22oz bottle ("California Edition") picked up at Bevmo
Pours black with a small dark tan head and some lacing. Aroma of dark malts, caramel, piney and hot alcohols. The taste is sweet caramel, roasted malts, roast coffee, milk chocolate and hot alcohols, bitter finish
This is decent. I’ve had it for about a year and it is still pretty hot and bitter.

Bottle. A dark brown with a rich brown head. A powerful alcohol, dates, cherry, and spiced aroma. Obviously sweet in flavor but it maintains a good deal of spiced flavor to keep it interesting. It warms the night but seems to almost be too powerful.

Pours black no light penetrates finger thick tan head. Aroma is alcohol chocolate and coffee. Flavor is more of the same alcohol upfront followed by deep chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is thick with little carbonation. Overall surprisingly drinkable for the high alcohol but it is there.

[Bottle (650ml)] Pours a very dark brown with an average size long-lasting frothy light-brown head -- almost Stout-looking. Nice aroma with lots of lightly toasted malt and lots of hops along with alcohol, dark fruit and notes of toffee and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt -- like a Stout with tons of hops and a good amount of alcohol added. Big bitter finish. Though boozy, not as bad as I expected 16% to be. Medium bodied. Too boozy, but quite nice regardless.

(bottle) black with tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Flavor was very complex - reminded me of World Wide Stout a bit - coffee, dark fruits, alcohol, some hops.

sweet malty, caramel, dates, milk chocolate, toffee, hazelnut, very rich but amazingly balanced for 16% and not cloying or boozy. Excellent

From bottle...pours dark brown with small head and lace. Big malt aromas. Moderate carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet molasses, caramel, alcohol, big hops, milk chocolate, malt balls. Overall big, bold and tasty.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle after cellaring for a bit over a year. Opaque, black-brown with a large dark tan head and very good lacing. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, caramel, plums, raisins, red grapes, a little molasses and a touch of chocolate. Taste of sweet roasted malt, vanilla, oak, toffee, raisins, plums, grapes, molasses, a hint of coffee and, well concealed but still there, big alcohol. Full body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Global Brew. Pours dark brown with tan head. Taste boozy/strong, dark fruit, sweet. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
