| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Brown , cloudy appearance, and a thin head made this beer not much to look at. The smell was pretty good, as wisps of cocoa, toffee, and nuts were detected. Hop aroma was surprisingly well represented as well. Taste was woody, dry, and a little astringent. Hops were mild here and were like a light dash of spice. Mouthfeel was a little rougher than I would have preferred, as a chalky aftertaste kept popping up. Well made and enjoyable, but certainly not a second coming. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
