Dec 28, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a brown body with a short livid off white head. Some lace.
Light aroma of caramel malts and brown sugar. Pretty solid malty brown here. Just some caramel malt with a slight roasted edge. Hops are not really sticking out at all. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a good amount of flavor.

Dec 26, 2008 Brewed in the USA..... Pours a dark brown color with zero head. Aroma of dark malts, nuts, and a hint of caramel. Taste is of sweet chocolate, malts and brown sugar. The mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side and finishes kind of chalky. Overall, This brew is average yet very drinkable.

Dec 20, 2008 Terrapin & Friends beer dinner at Trappeze. Poured brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt. Taste is malty, with a little fruit. Pretty straightforward. Mouth is smooth and lightly carbonated. Easy drinking. Overall, a decent brew.

Dec 6, 2008 faint aroma of malt. Deep brown with a small tan head. Malty smooth at the start turning tingly on the tongue wiht a finish that is a little bitter. Thin in the mouth.

Nov 27, 2008 12 oz bottle from the Bier Stein. Malt odor to this but nothing more, no depth or complexity to taste either, malt and very overly carbonated. Brown pour with bubbles and almost no head to speak of. Disappointing since I was hoping for something a little "bolder" due to the name.

Nov 2, 2008 Crushed with Honkeybra. No nose whatsoever. At least there was no chlorine or poop. Very dry finish. Smooth drinking but completely unremarkable.

Nov 1, 2008 Crushed with TheDude in Galesburg, IL. Bold is a misnomer for this brew, as nothing, other than perhaps the assertion that it is bold, is bold about this beer. It’s dark brownish. Has an impression of a head. No nose to speak of. Some sweet malt tones and maybe some caramel and nutty impressions, if I’m straining. Not impressed, wouldn’t touch this again.

Nov 1, 2008 Draft at brewtopia in 07. Pours a brown body with an off white head. Sweet malty, nutty caramel. Light chocolate and ripe fruit. Beer was decent, the folks serving were something else.
