Dark reddish brown, with ever so slight notes of molassess and honey and cola and herbs. Flavor is woodsy, with notes of rye, as well. Rather earthy and smokey, too.

does not count  Oct 10, 2008 Nice brown color and not a lot of head. Fairly smooth and drinkable. Nutty flavor and mild aftertaste. Decent overall, but not outstanding.

Oct 10, 2008 brown pour, small tan head. Malty, nutty, and pumpernickel aromas. Flavor is malty and pretty watery. I am not impressed with this brewery again.

Mahogany coloured with a very thin off white head. Full of roasted malt with a light smoky, almost ashy note. Faint nutty chocolate finish. not much going on but it’s drinkable enough.

A - raisins, dark fruit spices, touch of malted oak. Nice mix of aromas.
T - heavy malt flavor
P - long lasting oaky malts. Nice.
