4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 S0rceress0 (11) - - APR 16, 2013
Beautiful nutty taste with just enough hops to make it interesting. This beer reminds me of a real 40’s European farmhouse ale made by small tavernkeepers. Rich, caramel with hops in the back end, but not too much. Head is a fair lasting, not long lasting white with lacy afterleavings.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 gramity (1057) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 11, 2013
This pours a dark brown color with a light beige head. The scent is rather mild with hazelnuts. The taste is bold and nutty with a great blend of robust malts, caramel malts, and nuts. The texture is smooth and is an overall pretty good beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 theisti (2822) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - APR 3, 2013
12 oz bottle that was part of the Winter 2012 World Market 9 pack, courtesy of my in-laws. The pour is mostly clear brown with slight ruby highlights and a smallish tan head that falls quick. The aroma is some roast, some nuttiness, and a bit of harsh earthiness. The taste is roast nutty malt, along with a bit of char earth, and then a bit of sharpness in the back. The palate is medium to light bodied, average, somewhat harsh carbonation and the sharp char finish. Decent flavor, though not all that clean.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beerathon (598) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Fizzy, chestnut color, thin head but does have lacing. I’m usually not a brown ale fan, but this was is alright, mostly due to its nice hop character.

Dark brown with a small beige head that rapidly dissipates. Aroma of caramel malt, cocoa, and nuts. Taste is lightly sweet and roasted malt with a hint of nuts.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Fatehunter (757) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - FEB 17, 2013
A thin, tan head formed but was quickly gone. The body is dark brown.
The aroma is mild roasted and chocolate malt backed up with caramel candy.
The taste maintains a moderate bitterness throughout with roasted malt and dark chocolate just showing through.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Not bad just an average brown ale.
