3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 matta (1140) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2004
Well…. What should I say?
It’s not a beer with a great deal of depth, intrigue, complexity, or character; the name is the greatest attribute. The beer pours a dark chestnut colored body with a light tan head. The aroma and flavor are roasted with malt, a touch of toffee and toasted wheat bread. Palate is medium… it’s not a bad beer but it’s just lacking any real personality.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 madsberg (8939) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2004
Bottled: Dark amber coloured. Head is light beige. Malt, light spices, sweetness in the aroma. Malt and some flowers in the flavour. Vague bitterness in the end. Boring.

Malty Twizzlers nose, low hops. Dark ruby brown clear, with off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts wth sweet malts, Twizzlers, low acidty. Finish as some bitter aspect, but nothing definitive. Light sweet-sour after.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Zach Diesel (906) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 17, 2004
light malty aroma, reddish brown with a thin long lasting head, very biscuity with hints of brown sugar, a thing body and overall very watery, you could say I’m not a believer
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hopscotch (8242) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 15, 2004
Crystal clear copper ale with a small, creamy, khaki-colored head. Cirrus lacework. Malty, sweet aroma. A bit floral and chocolatey. Maybe a note of vanilla and a hint of port. The well-balanced flavor is lightly chocolately and roasty with a suggestion of buttermilk. Medium-bodied with an astringent mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Short, crisp finish.

Cola color. A bit o’malt in the nose. Some yeast, dough flavors. Pretty much flavorless though. Sort of like colored water.

Starts off nice and malty with just enough nut to be interesting. But as the glass went on, it wasn’t good in the least bit.
