Bottle from Utobeer. Very dark brown colour with thin disappearing head. Some dry malt on aroma, some yeastiness. Mouthfeel is ok, but nothing interesting, flavours are some sour fruit and some dry malt. Bit toasty. Bit of nuttiness I suppose, some drying on tongue on finish. Fine, but rather bland and dull I thought. Not even as interesting as a British premium bitter of this strength. The malts are there, but donít impart sufficient flavour. No bad or off flavours.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malty aroma typical of an American brown ale. Clear brownish amber color with reddish hilites. A little white head that laces a mite. Has a smooth malty taste, again itís a brown ale. Mouthfeel is medium, and creamier than most brown ales. There is a hint of some sort of spiciness, and there is a little hop at the end. Overall itís a brown ale.
