2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
If you could distil the most plain, basic "beer" flavor then this would be it. Completely devoid of any distinctive flavors or character. Okay, it's not really THAT boring, but it is unmemorable enough that you'll forget what it tasted like the next day.
Dark orange-y color, full head with good lace.
This is NOT the chosen beer. If this was the first beer I'd had from HeBrew then I wouldn't try the rest. Be careful not to drop it when you doze off from boredom.

12oz bottle from ABC on Apalachee. Deep almost black pour with a thin tan head that leaves a slight ring. Aroma is toasted malts, nutty, caramel. Tastes are the same with a yeasty twang to it - little metallic. I think that actually kept it from being too sugary for me - typical for browns and me. Decent.

Pours a dark bourbon brown with a one-finger tan head. Rich caramel, toffee, and chocolate nose. Texture is surprisingly thin and carbonated given the nose. Horehound, toffee, and a bit of nuttiness in the flavors.

12oz bottle in MA. Dark brown pour, foamy tan head. Lighter aroma and taste than the look of this beer. Light chocolate malts, banana nut bread. Mild fruit and very light chocolate. Fairly light.

Glass at the Green Dragon. Pours a deep cloudy brown color with a small white head. A big sweet malty nose, some coffee. The flavor is dominated by bitterness and coffee, light roast, sweet nutty flavors, some toffee. Pretty nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A nice brown ale indeed, solid brown color, chocolate hoppy aroma. Taste is good, featuring chocolate notes with a dry finish, but could be more assertive. Very smooth with a relatively light body.

Bottle @ home. Colore marrone scuro, solo alcuni riflessi rubino. Schiuma color beige scuro.
