12oz....labeled 1pnt6ozs? Deep mahogany w/ very little head. Only faint hints of sweet malts and subtle booze. Very malty. Age really mellowed the 8 hops. The linger on the palate was the kicker here. Comlex twists of bready, yeasty, malty, booziness. Nice start to this vertical tasting.

Tap at Dexters. Deep brown-red stained glass body, hints of light shining through the corners. Massive beige head that is in no rush to settle. Sweet raisin-prune aroma, as hint of cocoa. Smooth body, almost watery, not much hop character. Smooth and easy on the palate, quite enjoyable. Kind of like a Dubbel meets the body of an English Mild. Nuttiness, nutmeg. Comes together well, nice beer.

On tap at Dexters, pours a very dark brown with a thin off white head and spotty lacing, the aroma is of roasted malt and slight chocolate, the flavor is pretty weak overall, a little bit of dark malt and brown sugar but is really thin overall, mouthfeel is watery in the finish, pass.

The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of black strap molasses, brown sugar and roasted malt. The flavor follows suit, with the roasted malt complimented nicely by the sweetness from the brown sugar and molasses. The alcohol is fairly well hidden. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle shared by Maniac at the Irish Chanukah tasting. Pours clear dark brown with ruby highlights, a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is figs, raisins, heavy caramel and nutty malt, earthy and herbal hops. Flavor is heavy dark fruity esters, malt dominant, light alcohol notes and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Sampled at the Irish Hanukkah Tasting. Sampled in line with the other ones from the vertical collection box. Clear dark brown pour with good ring of tan head and ruby highlights. Caramel and molasses nose, chocolate, raisins, a hint of soy sauce, a little woody. Really good.

"hmmm. No sir, I don’t like it" It’s not terrible. Pours deep brown with average tan cap. Retains alright. Smells of muted molasses/licorice and dark fruit. Taste of some chocolate, dark fruit, bit of coffee. This is very much a miss. Just seems so weak/thin than what I was expecting.

Mjölkig doft, aning lakrits annars ganska tunn. Ingen stor eftersmak och egentligen ingen speciell öl alls. Intogs på Akkurat till 395 kr flaska - inte värd.
