Good sized brown head of fine bubbles. Settles nice and slowly. Rich and chocoalty aroma. Lots of sweet malts, toated grains, caramel and a bit of pepper??? Color is a very dark chocolaty brown. Sweet and malty flavor. The hops presence has certainly dwindled since it is not very prominent at all. Little bit too sweet. Lots of roasted grains and unfortunately a little bit flat on the tongue. Finishes oily and malts with a bit of lingering smoke. Another solid brew from HeBrew. This one may have been a little bit better fresher.

Bottle. Aroma is dark fruit, chocolate malt with a bit of booziness. Pours very dark brown with a thin tan head. Taste is dark fruit with some toffee and chocolate. Finishes smooth with a bit of a boozy bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cracked open a bottle with zdk, was surprised that it was 7 year’s old! Nose with dark fruit and some roasted malts, a bit of cocoa. Not harsh on the palate, very enjoyable.

Have a really old rating note for this: brown pour, tan head - big boozy aroma with molasses and dark fruit - tastes are cocoa, bready, nuts, dark fruit, toffee - slightly astringent - big and malty - not into this one so much.

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a dark brown with large creamy tan head that lasts awhile. The aroma is a light roasted malt and chocolate and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet chcolate and roast with vanilla in the finish. Really enjoyed this one, a very impressive American strong ale from HeBrew.

In short: A rich, roasted and semi-fuirty dark burgundy ale. Good beer
How: Bottle 12oz. part of the Vertical Pack re-released in 2011, consumed when almost one year of age
The look: Very dark burgundy topped by a medium beige head with medium retention
In long: Like many Jewbelation Anniversary ales this one displays aromas of raisins, soft liquorice candy, wet tobacco and such. Taste is grainy roasted malts, raisin cookies, Fig Newton™ cookies, burnt caramel, dark fruits, molasses, blackberry jam, wet fresh tobacco leafs. The beer is quite sweet but the strong roast dries it out nice, and the beer actually doesn’t feel roasted because the juicy fruitiness covers up the roast. Alcohol well hidden. A big American Strong Ale that actually tastes like a rich Dopplebock. Good stuff that drinks pretty easy for a 10% beer. A good output by this jewish themed brewery, and I have never researched my family lineage, but my dad nose we don’t have jewish ancestors.

Opaque very dark brown beer. Aged malt nose and a little chocolate. Surprisingly fresh palate, a little bit soft. Minerally malt. Chocolate that isn’t bitter or sweet. Biscuity malt. A little hop left. Smooth and still very drinkable. Wish I had caught this one in it’s hey day. Still good although the hops have clearly faded.

Bottle
Appearance - Deep brown, creamy lacing
Aroma - Wood, cherries, raisins, decomposing leaves
Taste - Cherries, honey, hops, molasses, chocolate

This brew is a nice addition to the Jewbelation series. Perhaps the aging added a light, almost naturally earthy flavor to the already rich and sticky-sweet body. This beer was simply fantastic - and now I have to try to get the others!

A big thanks to Chipalsa for getting this one. Geeeyyoooowww!!! Nose is light bourbon with some rich ass caramel and cherry aromas. Tons of molasses with some wafts of alcohol in the nose. Body is dark brown with a caramel colored head. Creamy body. Taste is molasses all the way with some light raisin, caramel, and an oxidized port wine-like flavor. Good stuff!!

The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. This aroma is full of chocolate and roasted malt, much like the Jewbelation 9. The flavor is more complex that the aroma, which is a good thing in my opinion. I get the same chocolate and roasted malt that I got in the aroma, but that is complimented by some molasses and a little bit of pine flavor from the hops. The alcohol is also quite present in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

355ml bottle from the Jewbelation variety box pours almost black in color with a small off-white head that leaves some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits with some hints of chocolate, citrus and earthy hops. Taste is chocolate and caramel malty sweetness with some dark fruits and an earthy and citrusy hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body and soft carbonation with some warming sensations from the alcohol. A really nice ale and was a pleasure to have sampled.
