Thanks Jason. The beer pours to an orange body with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy and has sweet pomegranate juice. The flavor is sweet barley silage and sweet juice. The palate is sweet and average.

Bomber. Poured a clear medium amber with a quickly-receding cap of white head. Aroma picked up sweet caramel and toffee with some mild pomegranate influence.. picked up some booze too. The flavor came across as a very strong amber.. toasty caramel and sweet grapefruit at the core with a rather mild tart pomegranate influence.. quite tasty. Heavier-bodied and grainy at times.. long, warm finish. Not bad.. not really good, but not bad.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 PilsnerPeter (3019) - Flushing, New York, USA - MAY 4, 2007
Bottle: Pours amber with perfect clarity and a collapsing white head. Aroma isn’t really fruity with mainly crystal malt, subtle peppery hop notes, and ethanol. Has lots of alcohol in the flavor as well. Has a decent mouthfeel with smooth carbonation. There’s an artificial sweetness upfront (almost saccharine like). The only fruityness I can detect is a hint of citrus like qualities. The bitterness in the finish has slightly hop like notes, but it’s extremely metallic. An unbalanced beer, and definitly not a fruit beer.

WBF-Raleigh. Clear amber body with a small white head. Swet caramel aroma with hints of fruit. Sweet fruity flavor but still dominated by caramel.

Bottle. reddish amber with a 1/4 inch tan head. sweet malt aroma with some grapefruit and alcohol; i really can’t identify pomegranate in the aroma. Grapefruit is the dominant flavor, some pomegranate in th background, along with hops. long, hoppy finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FlacoAlto (3450) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAY 2, 2007
Sampled April 2007
Pours with a three-finger thick, frothy, lightly ambered, tan colored head that sits atop a brilliantly clear, cranberry-amber colored brew. Initially the aroma smells quite malty with notes of biscuits, toasted grain and some light caramel. It soon starts to pick up a fruitiness to it that once noticed cannot be dismissed. The fruit aromatics smell berry like, perhaps a touch like a fruit focused wine, or maybe even like a water downed wine-cooler.
The taste has a light sweetness to it, but that is not what one really notices after the first sip. There is a strong flavor of spice; something that is almost hot (though not from higher alcohols), and a finish that is like a dry, spicy wine (though this beer is not dry, though not really sweet either). Notes of berries, pithy raspberry notes, a touch of tannic cranberry skin (without the fleshy cranberry flavor itself) and some definite fruity acidity are all noticeable here. There is some malt flavors here as well, just not enough; notes of toasted grain, biscuits and crackers are all noticeable at times.
I’ll give these guys props for making some really interesting beers lately, but unfortunately they have not really been all that good. They are not bad either, but that isn’t quite what I am looking for in a beer. This is drinkable, but just doesn’t quite seem to work.

Bottle. Nose is more cherry than pomegranate. Slight malt influence. Very appealing visually, thick foamy head on top of a dark ruby beer with some active carbonation. Flavor is sweet, cloyingly so, but still really interesting. Very heavy alcohol presence for the abv. If it wasn’t for the fact that the mouthfeel is so harsh, it could be really enjoyable.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 riversideAK (5413) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 29, 2007
Well, where do I start. This beer had an intensely sweet caramel malt aroma. Almost no hop backing. Also there is some fruity tartness from the pomegranate. Appearance is that of an amber ale. The flavor is straight up malt sweetness and some tart fruit on the backend. Almost no hop balance whatsoever. Very thick, one could probably equate the thickness with cough syrup. Extremely heavy almost chalky. I could not finish the whole thing. I actually found this to be extremely bad. To tell you the truth, I would probably rather have a Bud Dry.

Rather weak in color, but not in any other aspect. I was afraid of this at first because I don’t like fruity beer as a rule. However, there is no discernable pomegrante flavor at all. Just very smooth very drinable if heady beeeer.

Nice amber color with a decent amount of head. The pomegranate flavor is not very prevalent although it does taste mildly fruity. Aftertaste doesn’t linger long at all. The alcohol hit me well after I finished and felt quite strong. Perhaps I shouldn’t drink on an empty stomach.
