Brewed with the juice of over 10,000 luscious pomegranates, ORIGIN is a complex, rich and balanced Imperial Amber Ale with a truly unique character. The pomegranate juice is added during fermentation, leaving only the residual sugars, which serve to balance the hop bitterness.

Bottle - Caramel, sweet malts, boozey, more like a barley wine. Clear copper no head. Boozey and tastes like a barley wine. Spicy and lots of burn, not sure what they were going for, not that great.

This beer has a cloudy brown appearance and sweet fruity aroma. It is slightly bitter with a hint of sweet summer fruit. It is like a brown crossed with a fruit infused beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An okay beer. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel. Not as much sweetness as I was hoping, rather bland.

Lagerboy (1412) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 17, 2013
Craft beer tasting dinner at the Brownstone, round one: Clear medium amber, small foamy tan head fades. Fruity caramel malt aroma. Taste is rich and sweet caramel toffee malt, with a light berry fruitiness behind, and not much else. Soft carbonation, medium bodied, lightly hopped. ABV is well hidden. Almost cloying as it warms, sweet malty fruity finish. NFL (Not For Lagerboys) Interesting pairing with chili, truffle and rhubarb flavored popcorn.

12oz bottle pours a hazy amber color with a medium off white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of caramel, toffee, pomegranate, and dark fruit. Tastes of all the same things in the smell but the pomegranate flavor wasn’t as prevalent as I remember it being when I had it fresh from a growler about a year and a half ago Mouthfeel is slick and oily with medium carbonation. Overall this is just mediocre. Slightly better on tap than from the bottle. Won’t be seeking this out again unless I find it on draft.

12oz bottle. Best thing I can say about this is that I didn’t hate it. Not a fan of fruit beers usually and was afraid something with pomegranate would taste like soda but it was very subtle. Actually tastes like beer though a tad too sweet for my taste.

nothing special, bitter, not very much to say. ABV sure doesn’t feel or taste 8%, I would say 6% at best. Like I said, nothing special.

Bottle. Poured a hazy medium amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma was fruity (but not particularly pomegranate), caramel, floral, touch of citrus. Flavor was moderately malty and fruity. Mild bitterness. Medium body. Moderately sweet.

cloudy amber, thick light tan head of fine bubbles. Nose of pomegranate, raisin, Belgian yeast and candi sugar. Taste is kind of tart, light alcohol, spicy from the yeast, lightly hopped with earthy hops, slight kick or alcohol burn on the finish. Fairly fruity

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Pomegranate is certainly up front. An enjoyable brew but doesn't really seem like beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
