bottle from Bevmo. Clear copper color with fizzy head. Malty aroma and taste with a nutty fig and and citrus taste that don’t quite work together.

22 oz bottle. Pours a ruby amber with a very creamy off-white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet caramel malts, figs, molasses, brown sugar and a little alcohol.

The flavor is some sugary caramel malts and strong fig fruitiness with some slight alcohol and a touch of a bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery with sharp carbonation.

Overall, it’s very one dimensional with sugary figs. Kind of ehhh for me, but could be awesome for a big fig fan.

tawny colored, full dense head, faint aroma of fig and yeast. sticky sweet fig flavor. i usually like beers that have fig character, so it’s no surprise i enjoy this. the fig character is intense, but not sticky sweet like i thought it would be. there’s a lasting flavor to the mostly one sided experience, some traditional winter spices as well (nutmeg and clove). i expected something thick and heavy, bordering on experimental, and what I got was a beer that’s very tasty and satisfying.

Pours a transparent dark copper amber with orange and a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts and light strawberry and fig fruitiness. Body starts farily full and lightly toasted caramely sweet with a mild bitter balance and nice fruity notes. Finishes smooth with a drier fig and raisin fruitiness and doughy yeasty flavor. A pretty nice strong fruit beer.

Bomber poured a clear garnet with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of fig, carmel, toffee, brown sugar and hints of honey and spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of figs, brown sugar, carmel, toffee and a hint of spice with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.

22 oz. Dark ruby with a three-finger head that tries to last. Aroma is spicy dark fruit and slight chocolate banana. Flavor is dark dried fruit with slight metallic and blackstrap molasses notes. Also some dried bitter wood, clove/banana estery notes and spicy alcohol. Lots of flavors, but they don’t mesh so well as I thought they might for me. Seems a bit too woody-bitter. Medium body is smooth with some alcohol, acidic and hop tingle.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper red with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet malts and caramel with berries and dark fruits (figs, duh). Pretty full mouthfeel. A bit sweet. A lot of fig, but hey, that’s what they are going for.
