bomber. average fizzy (quickly dissapating) khaki head into hazy brownish-orange bodywith minimal lacing. aromas of ripe fruit, chocolate, brown sugar, light alcohol, and some spices. flavor is initially moderate bitter sweet and finishes light sweet. lively carbonation. moderate finish duration. almost dry texture. a bit weird but still quite enjoyable.

A well hopped, malty ale. Pretty smooth and sweet, and you can clearly taste the figs. I wonder what is so Jewish about the HeBrew line of beers. Are they kosher? Do they taste good with matzoh crackers?

bomber. color is tawny amber brown with orange edges. bone colored head forms tight but quickly recedes. chocolate malts stand out in the aroma. a pleasant fruitiness turns up as well. different than i had expected. a little sweet with the chocolate ,malt observed in the aroma playing a big part in the flavor. dark figgy fruit is present but not detracting. hops are definitely down played. palate is clean and body is relatively full. not at all what i was imagining, but a solid brew nonetheless.

Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a dark brown/amber with a small brown head. The nose is quite subtle with notes of caramel, apple and other fruits. Flavors are similar and include toffee, caramel, dark fruits, leather belt, cola, and a bite of astringent alcohol in the finish. Medium carbonation and medium/full body. A decent effort by this brewery.

22oz. bomber: This one pours a clear, ruby tinged amber color. There was a i finger tan head on it that dropped off rather quickly. Milder aroma than I expected. It was still good, with a slightly sugary caramel aroma up front, followed by notes of dark fruits, some of which might be figs (the fig on the label was a slight hint!). Not much carbonation to this one. It has a slightly silky mouthfeel. The taste is good, although a touch lighter than I’d expect for a strong ale. Some alcohol, caramel and dark fruits predominate. Good, but not at the top of my list.
