Bottle and served in my NB Worthy glass: Near brownish hue with a small fading head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of fig, caramel, toast, juniper, resin and earthy and minerally esters. The taste is mostly sweet malt and sweet dark fruit with a hit of spice, twangy acidity and continental hop bitterness towards the finish. A note of alcohol kept this from becoming cloy. The mouth feel is sprite and refreshing, oily and a touch of drier mineral water upon the finish. Not too shabby but seems a bit one note, a good winter warmer never the less.

Dark amber with a medium beige head. Rich malt aroma and taste. Big alcohol presence. Very rich with lots of sugary dark fruit: figs, raisins. Complex and very pleasant.

dark and murky copper-ruby body, thin and short light tan head; fig; yes--fig; fairly carbonated, somewhat syrupy; bittersweet and balanced for what figginess it desires to be.

Bottle at Rudy’s tasting May ’08, courtesy of someone very generous. Mild boozy aroma. Light brown, decent sized white head. Lots of hops and malt in the taste - well balanced. Very bitter, fruity and earthy finish. Good simple stuff.

Pours deep amber with a fine, white head. Aroma is pleasantly hoppy with some darker fruit qualities. Dark fruit, caramel, and hoppy flavors. Strong hop bitterness. Light styrofoamy quality in there, but nothing overbearing.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured dark brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate dark tart fruit aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium fruity balanced flavor with a medium sweet small alcohol finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Bottle from State Line. Pours clear deep ruby color with 1-finger egg creamy head. Nose is caramel malt, fig, mild pomegranate, berries, and hops. Tastes rich, malty, with fig, brown sugar, berry, hops, and that semi harsh yet full bodied house quality that Hebrew beers seem to have. Bottle #5757 of 1996 (yeah, that’s a joke).
