The light, fruity nose arouses thoughts of sweet raisin (fig), apricot and peach esthers and almondy nuts. Big and creamy, the body pushes sweet fig and raisin to the front. A nice blanket of bready and caramelly malt balances the fruit. Finishes with a punch of citrusy hops to balance. This really comes off as a Belgian dubbel in many aspects. Very sweet fruit and caramel, almost sugary. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation and a very smooth slightly syrupy finish. Rciesla (3915), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Fruity malty esters, dates, plums, fig, dates, and cinnamon notes. Malty and chewy with a solid warming. Lighter fructose with a sweet warming. Wow, well done. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2008 Bomber pours crystal clear amber with tan head. The aroma starts initially with sweet malts, a touch of roastiness and sweet ripe cherries before the fig notes quickly surface and overtake the nose. Then I get hints of that classic HeBrew pomegranate fruitiness with faint tartness way in the back. The flavor unfolds in very much the same way the nose did with an initial pulse of sweet malts, sweet ripe cherries mixed with malt roastiness. Then the fig notes join the fun followed by pomegranate juice fruitiness and tartness that seem to go along with just a bit of drying malt astringency at the finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Aroma is faint but a slight fruit scent is there with a little alcohol. Color is a hazy amber brown with good carbonation and a thin but tight head. Taste is sweet and fruity. Starting with a medium body it goes down easy with a light feel. Finish come out with a mild sweetness that has gentle dried fruit tones and a very light bitterness. After taste is more dried fruit, a building of bitterness and a little alcohol. This brew rocks, I love everything with the He’Brew name on it. This is like a light refreshing version of the there 11. HomeBrewHawk (286), De Soto, Kansas, USA

Some raisiny fruit in the aroma with toffee malty smells as well. Great depth of malt flavors. More toffee and molasses. Medium to full bodied with a little sweetness. Long complex malt flavors in the finish. Rich mouthfeel. Unique blend of dopplebock/old ale style maltiness. If you like malt, give this one a try. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Pours a hazy ruby burgundy with lavender highlights and a very small white head. Has a strong yeasty nose, sweet with lots of dark candied fruits. Bready maltiness and some warm alchohol notes. Reminds me a little bit of Samiclaus with less alcohol. Lovely dark fruits and a well balanced malty fruit texture you can really sink your teeth into. Takes a few sips to really get used to it and get into it and is essential for this to be served at the proper temperature to pick up all the nuances. Great conceptual take on a Doppelbock. sebletitje (2000), Tampa, Florida, USA
