22oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. A slightly hazed, dark amber pour. Light carbonation giving way to decent lacing on the Trappist. Nice nutty, and slightly sweet aroma. A sweet and malty finish, an underrated beer IMO.

Jul 21, 2008 Clear deep red-brown pour with a medium foamy white head. Sweet fruity malt aroma. Lots of caramel malt in the flavor, with a hint of figs and hops. A nice brew.

Jul 17, 2008 This American Strong Ale pours a deep reddish copper color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts, figs and some other dark fruits. A medium bodied Strong Ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are earthy and slightly spicy. The fig and raisin flavors are fairly prominent, but it’s not overly sweet or over the tops. Nice balance. Very smooth taste. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is ful and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
