2008-05-17. Brown body with a modest beige/tan head. (3+) Pleasant aroma, sweet malt base, mild hops and something I can’t pin down. (7+) Similar flavour, sweet malty foundations, hints of caramel, very light balancing bitterness. (7+) Smooth average plus palate. On the simple side of things, but very pleasant and quite drinkable. Jul 21, 2008 Clear deep red-brown pour with a medium foamy white head. Sweet fruity malt aroma. Lots of caramel malt in the flavor, with a hint of figs and hops. A nice brew.

Jul 17, 2008 This American Strong Ale pours a deep reddish copper color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts, figs and some other dark fruits. A medium bodied Strong Ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are earthy and slightly spicy. The fig and raisin flavors are fairly prominent, but it’s not overly sweet or over the tops. Nice balance. Very smooth taste. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is ful and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
