COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled (not bottle conditioned).
Golden Hebridean bitter, brewed with Scottish malts. Lightly bittered, a session beer with a light golden colour. Good all day beer, plenty of hop and malt character, with lots of malt in the finish. Brewed to make you want more - so go-on, give in, you know you want to!

Cask Conditioned at Reading BF 2006. Golden. Harsh aroma of paint fumes. Sweet malt and marzipan aroma with some cherry stones. I liked this one more than the others seemed to.

Cask @ Reading 06: Light amber in colour. Old tyres, rotting wood and a touch of ashtray. Not good.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Deep gold/amber colour. Diacetyl and a bit of a chemical aroma. Not nice. I remeber this stayed on the table for some time.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Market Porter Borough London. A copper coloured bitter with a dry, faintly fruity aroma. The taste was quite bland with some fruit. However there was a certain tasty crispness to the beer which gave it a reasonable mark.

Pale and slighly bland looking bitter. The aroma is dry and seems slightly smoked and the flavour is mildly sour but generally weak with a little bitterness. Over quite a basic beer.

Cask. Amber coloured beer with a thin white head. Very thin aroma, citrus and spicy hops. Body is thin and watery with very little flavour. Not worth the trouble.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2004 Gravity cask, Catford Beer Festival. light amber. watery texture with an earthy bitterness. Refreshing without being in any way remarkable. The dry bitterness lingers in a long dull manner like a thick thug in a dark alleyway. [1.9]
Bottle. Attractive whiskey malt aroma from this bottled version. Same the rest of the beer is such a let down. Watery texture with very thin malt awareness, and a rather dull hop bitterness. I mean, the hops are there, but it's just a bitterness without interest.
