COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled (not bottle conditioned).
Golden Hebridean bitter, brewed with Scottish malts. Lightly bittered, a session beer with a light golden colour. Good all day beer, plenty of hop and malt character, with lots of malt in the finish. Brewed to make you want more - so go-on, give in, you know you want to!

Cask Conditioned at Reading BF 2006. Golden. Harsh aroma of paint fumes. Sweet malt and marzipan aroma with some cherry stones. I liked this one more than the others seemed to.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Market Porter Borough London. A copper coloured bitter with a dry, faintly fruity aroma. The taste was quite bland with some fruit. However there was a certain tasty crispness to the beer which gave it a reasonable mark.

Very bitter, being fair to it it is nice, but not my style, very amber in colour.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Bright pale amber colour with lively condition. Can’t say I picked up any of the off flavours that others did. That said, the beer didn’t really capture my attention to any great extent. A light, fairly dry bitter with a slightly smoky malt character and restrained bitter hops. Lacked depth but went down OK.
