Gravity Cask @ Waterloo Arms Beer Festival. Nice nose. Appley fruit and tangy acidity. In the mouth light and watery but dry with plenty of tannin. Pleasant but not great seems like some watered down second pressings I’ve had but is considerable stronger alcohol wise.

Cask, Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Yellow with a light haze. Aromas are earthy apple with light woodiness and vinegar. Agricultural and yeasty. Flavours are apple with some citrus tartness. Dry and woody with spritzy yeast. Very drinkable.

Polycask at The Royal Oak, Wantage, Oxon, 03-01-10 I had plenty to choose from with real ciders/perries at this place, there were at least 6 from Hecks and then a further 6-7 from other producers and if anything I’m playing the numbers down, it must be one of the biggest real cider/perry pubs in the country, anyway back to the drink. Pours pale gold, nice and clear. This is very dry in the mouth, though the dryness quickly subsides and the sour appley/lemony tang takes over, this stuff is quite a challenge but I have to say one that I enjoyed, great stuff.
