Cask in the three judges. Aroma is appley, vinigar, alcohol and age. Taste is ripe juicy apples, again alchol is clear but perhaps tones down the sweetness an maks it very very drinkable.

On tap at Wellington Arms, Bedford, in 1st Welly Summer Cider Festival ’11. Orange-gold. Fairly standard apple aroma, but the taste is quite unusual. Suggestions of butterscotch, with quite an intense artificial sweetener dryness lurking in the background. Doesn’t quite work for me.

Bottled and drunk on the train home from the Thanet Cider and Perry Fest 08. That’s got some very drinkable apple juice. Not too much acid or tannin. It’s a pretty mild cider. OK apple juice, with some dryness on end. Yep, fine, quite drinkable, a little sour, fine.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2006 [Tap at The Three Judges] Great leathery, woody aroma with notes of fresh apples, some acidity and some earthyness, background notes of rum soaked apples. Smooth body, baked apple pie comes out on the palate with more earthy notes and a little more rum. alcohol is well hidden, long dry finish with a good dose of tartness. Lots of character, great cider.
