3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 downender (5187) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2009
Cask-conditioned at the Orchard, Bristol 6/02/09. Golden in colour, with a slight haze and no head. Sweetish aroma of caramel, stewed apple and some spice. Flavour also inclined toward sweetness, with some barnyard in the background. As Hughie states, a proper finish never really turned up. A bit disappointing.
