Cask @ GBA @ Gallows Bird. Pours a very hazy orange soda color, no head. Aroma is apple and fermented apple. Taste is somewhat sweet apples with a bit pungent vanilla and oak finish. Palate is alright. Not the most refreshing cider for this weather.

Cask (7%) @Black Door, Helsinki. Hazy golden colour, small head. Aroma is rotten apples, some earth, mild rubber as well as some cheesy notes. Flavour is cheesy, apples, mild sweetness and some alcohol. Pleasantly balanced.

Cask, Half Way House, near Langport, Somerset. Thanks to brewery for confirming this was the correct cider. Aroma is apples; candi sugar, cherry cola penny sweets. Taste is apples; lemon, wood, oak, dry apple notes, sherbert sweets, a load of candi sugar, very sessionable. Very nice. Abv is well hidden. Great work.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2012 Polycask at Banbury Beer Festival 07-05-10 Pours warm gold. Crisp clean appley aroma. Slightly sweet, fruity, tangy and very juicy. A little dry at the end. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3 Had this again Polycask at The Orchard Inn, Bristol, 27.01.12 Juicy, sweet with an almost soft creaminess about it. Tangy and very appley but with a softness and sweetness the latter just a little too much. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bag in a box at 2nd Thanet Cider and Perry festival, Churchill Tavern, Ramsgate. Cloudy orange gold. Cheesy cider. Quite dry on finish plus some nougat on the flavour which is rather pleasant. Kind of medium sweetness in mouth, drys out on finish. Pleasant apple juice aroma. Bit of film developer. Decent apple flesh. Good

Cask-conditioned at the Orchard, Bristol 6/02/09. Golden in colour, with a slight haze and no head. Sweetish aroma of caramel, stewed apple and some spice. Flavour also inclined toward sweetness, with some barnyard in the background. As Hughie states, a proper finish never really turned up. A bit disappointing.

On tap at CAMRA cider bar, Bromham Mill, Bedfordshire. Bright orange. Gentle, slightly creamy fruit aroma. Rather a dull sweet taste: the dry finish you are expecting never comes, yielding only the pseudo-sweetness of an artificial sweetener.

From the Three Judges, on Cask. It’s a cider, it smelled of apples, but also rose petals as well. For want of a better phrase, the cider was "cider orange" in colour, bit cloudy to boot. The alcohol was well hidden by the spicy apples.

[On tap at The Three Judges] Ripe apples, spicey, earthy, complex. juicy palate with some earthy farmhouse character, dry, well concealed alcohol.
