Bart (1320), Vosselaar, Belgium Mar 28, 2008 Amber coloured beer with no carbonation and a small off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with touches of madeirisation. Full palate. Finish is bitter, alcoholic yeasty, little roasted caramel touches. 3 year old version, still very good.
auderale (466), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA Feb 2, 2008 Amber colored pour with medium sized head. Sweet, fruity aroma with a spicy malts, slightly bitter finish. rauchbier (2860), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Dec 29, 2007 Bottle, at ZBF 2006. Hazy bronze, thin off white head and gentle condition. Yeasty sweet and earthy roasted notes in the nose, pleasantly insistent but restrained sweet yeast and chocolate in the mouth with some gentle roast barley and a suggestion of coconut. Lingering dry finish tinged with coffee, chocolate and coconut.
chris_o (4398), London, Greater London, England Nov 4, 2007 Bottle, at Zythos, March 2006. To be honest, this didn’t make much of an impression on me. Mid amber colour. The usual spicy, yeasty aroma. Some fruity caramel. Touch of hops. Quite mellow - smoother than the Tripel tasted at the same time. Resudual sweetness in the aftertaste. Decent but unspectacular.

Very similar to the triple except the color. I think they used the same recepy and added caramel for the color. The caramel is the only difference I taste compared to the tripel, but I have to admit that tasting conditions were not so good on a crowded "Old Market".
