Medium to full body. Tatse = not so different as the tripel, hops, bitterness, good in balance, caramel malts, a bit sweet, little spices, dry finisch. GOOD. diabel (1210), Aarschot, Belgium Jun 14, 2005 Bottle Clear, amber body. Off-white, fizzy head, whicj diminishes mostly. Aroma of hops, coriander, ... Moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet finish. A quite unusual finish, which is spicy in a very particular kind of way. schuimkroaat (384), Leuven, Belgium May 29, 2005 A rather Orval-like appearance. Hoppy, spicy, flowery and a bit sweetish aroma. The flavour is rich and dry hoppy with some caramel and pronounced alcoholic warmth. Medium-bodied and mellow. rauchbier (2874), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Dec 29, 2007 Bottle, at ZBF 2006. Hazy bronze, thin off white head and gentle condition. Yeasty sweet and earthy roasted notes in the nose, pleasantly insistent but restrained sweet yeast and chocolate in the mouth with some gentle roast barley and a suggestion of coconut. Lingering dry finish tinged with coffee, chocolate and coconut.
kook (2035), Perth, Western Australia, Australia Mar 8, 2006 Bottle (ZBF06): Hazy dark dark amber. Almost looks a little muddy. Short tan head. Mild spice, choc and some dark grains. Nice sweet balanced flavour.
