3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6730) - Antwerpen, - APR 21, 2005
Huge, blinding snow-white head, dense, leaving classical Brugge lace; pale amber colour with olive shine. End of bottle totally flunky. Almondy nose, traces of diacethyl, coriander. Fiery, burning MF, CO² helping; dry, medium to full bodied, alcoholwarming. Outspoken vegetable taste, with an almondy and rosewater finish, but with no noticable sweetness. Still some discreet diacethyl. I’m much less satisfied by the Tripel then by the Amber; This beer is just too aggressive to please. Maybe a bit too "green" as well.

Bottle @ VBPF’12.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thewolf (8652) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 6, 2011
Bottle, bought @ Bier Tempel, Brussels.
Hazy golden with a lovely, staying, whipped-egg-white head. Lovely lacings. Mild green apple aroma, light grassy hops and sweet, biscuity and chewy malts. Light orange. Highish carbonation, frothy, creamy and very dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet at first, some degree of sugar, then turns dry and hoppy with a slight metallic edge, fruity sweetness as well. Lingering dry finish. Better than the sum of its parts.
