750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Darker shade of lambic orange with a solid white head. Smell is horseblanket, citrus, oranges, zesty, rich, fluffy, delicious horseblanket… Taste is huger floral & horseblanket, peaches, citrus, oranges, sharp, clear funk, fruity, sharp, fluffy… so damn good… final definitive proof that Lindemans can be as good as I thought that they could be… awesome stuff. People would good go crazy if this was made by 3F.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2014 Fully traditional gueuze (’oude geuze’) made especially for the 20th anniversary of Belgium’s best-known beer restaurant, De Heeren Van Liedekercke, with lambic from Lindemans and Girardin. Tasted as a vintage bottle (obviously) at 2 years of age . Stable, off-white head, bright golden blonde colour. The complex smell of all good things in oude geuze: some sulphur already present, lemon zest, sour cream, hay, green apple, horseblanket, rose petals, old sherry, sweat... Fresh citrussy onset in the mouth with hints of wine vinegar and wheat, dry acidity with the soft, smooth rounded, ’mals’ effect that typifies both the Girardin and Lindemans lambics, finish lightly bitter, dry, very complex and very long, as is custom in this genre. All in all a very classy and perfectly balanced gueuze and a more than worthy gift to De Heeren.

Bottle at 1st CBC Sunday Tasting. Many thanks to Matt for this one. Pours clear gold with a medium, white foam head. Grass, sweat and must aroma. Light to medium sweet, dry grass, subtle lemon. Medium bodied with explosive carbonation. Semi-dry finish, slight apples, grass, lemon, very slight socks. Pretty beautiful beer.

2000th rating. Bottle thanks to Rick. Pours a cloudy orange with a small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong funk and tart. Medium mouthfeel with a sour fruit and strong tart finish. Wow, really enjoyed this gueuze from Lindemans.

Thanks to bu11zeye for this bottle. Pours hazy orange with a foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is earthy/funky gueuze. ;Near full bodied due to carb. Flavor is sour/tart/earthy/lightly fruity. Very smooth. Finishes brilliant. Most excellent.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2011 Huge, remarkably stable, fine just off-white head over very Champenoise orange-golden beer; yeast loosening gradually from the bottle upon pouring. Putteke , sulphury, old wet wood, old fruit, citrus and horseblanket. Citrus, citruszeste, liqueur without sweetness, lactic acid, fruity acids; very well-balanced, woody wryness; hints at sweetness in the very finish. Extra-dry, dry-out effect, very effervescent carbonation. Excellent gueuze, with just enough blending for lending it a strong, young character. Mals , no harshness whatsoever, excellent balance, worthy of the celebration. Thanks to Raf!!

Thanks Travlr! Hazy straw pour with a small white head. Huge must, lemony nectar, leather, and basement. The flavor holds even more lemon than the aroma would suggest, giving way to notes of must and cheesecloth. Bright acidity with good balance. Perfect pillowy effervescence finishing super dry.

750 bottle. Pours slightly hazy with a white head. Nice tart, citrus, tangy nose. Taste is amazingly smooth, nice tartness that doesn’t burn the tongue. Balanced and very drinkable. Sweet.
