Geruch hopfig-getreidig mit muffigen Einflüssen. Beginnt herbwürzig. Mitte etwas blechern, enttäuschend malzige Töne. Würzig feinherber Abgang. Unspektakulär. Geht so.

Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is grain and lemon. The taste is balanced grainy and lemon bitterness. The texture is soft and fizzy. Enjoyable.

Algo metálica, típica pilsen de producción más o menos masiva. Dorada clara, aroma cereal, sabor compensado con ligero amargor y final seco. Sin pretensiones. Cerveza del montón, bebible sin más.

0,3 draught@Merlin, HD. Aroma of freshish proteinsoap is continued in taste: a decent bitter hop soapiness on a somewhat slightly eggy (pipes?) palate translates into a generic green-metallic protein dryness called regional pils. Stops just short of floral and elegant.

Draft at restaurant in Heidelberg. 13 a dozen German pilsner. Not badly made, refreshing but so uninteresting.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Soft malt nose. No significant hops in the aroma really. Moderate hop bitterness, low hop flavor with a drying-ish finish. Could be slightly drier. No esters. Refreshing, enjoyable, but not memorable.

Unfortunately this was the only one of the brewery’s beers I sampled while in the city and certainly not the one I would have chosen. I’ve definitely had worse pils though and it is quite refreshing. But could I pick it out in a blind tasting from half a dozen beers of similar specification? Not a chance.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average white head. Pronounced bitter hop aroma keeps grainy notes in background. Taste has also a well balanced hop note, nice and refreshing.
