COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Can you taste the sage in this varietal? Some claim they do. There is a bit of the herb in this one but mostly we enjoy its fruity (apple, grapefruit) notes and champagne-like bready aroma. Effervescence is lower in this varietal, providing just a prickle to awaken the taste buds. In the cooler months this is a pleasant change, allowing for richer body in the mead. Beautiful light straw translucence and a very clean finish. Food Pairings: The sage varietal stands alone and we recommend enjoying it that way, particularly as a sparkling digestif at the end of the evening.
