Can to pint class. Pours a mostly clear golden with traces of fine floating particulate. Tall foamy eggshell head settles down to a thin cap with a few touches of soapy lace. Fairly clean nose involving some bready malts, light noble hop touches, light metallic notes. Taste is almost a little sweet, not very bitter. Palate is lighter, softer, with a touch of crisp bitterness on the end. Easy drinking, refreshing, not bad really. Simple, decent beer.

355ml bottle. Pale Gold pour, generic pale alger, but cheap around here, and a go to if in the situation.

12 oz. bottle. Just a generic pale lager, with the typical grain/corn sweetness, but possibly the best generic pale lager out there. Much better than the BMC macros. It’s no microbrew or interesting style, but it has a very clean, simple, refreshing flavor that is actually quite good as long as you know what you’re getting.

This is a good old fashioned Chicago beer. It is smooth going down and is not skunky. I would drink this if Pabst Blue Ribbon wasn’t available.

Side by side with the "regular" Old Style. This retains evidence of head much longer, though the color is basically the same. I would agree that there is a slightly smoother texture to this--less carbonation on the finish and a sensibility that it is like a hand-pull vs. a pressurized tap. But the flavor is also less distinctive--more watery, less grain. Probably a notch better than the regular, but tough to say when you’re making judgments in this league of beers. Can.

Gold Color, Small Head Dissipating in a matter of seconds, no lacing. Light sweet taste. No bitterness no hops. Tasteless, does not leave anything on palate or as an aftertaste. Might as well be drinking water. Best enjoyed if it falls into one of the following situations: Free or you are really desperate to quench your thirst and this is your only option.

Cubs game. Pours a golden color with a small white soapy head. Notes of wheat, butter, earthy hops, and grass. Decent mouthfeel. Not terrible.

A classic for any Cubs fan like myself. Grain alcohol aroma. Mouth is relatively full. Grain on the taste buds. Nice clean finish. This is really easy to drink.

This is my favorite American lager beer. Nice to see the Kraeusened beer recipe returned. Though it’s not the same style when Heileman brewed it in LaCrosse, but it is still my Old Style.

Clear pale yellow, kinda lively, smaller white head, fades kinda quickly... not very viscous... kinda grassy aroma, lighter than expected adjunct, possibly corn aroma, definitely a macro, but on the cusp... decent lightly sweet grassy flavor, esp for a big brand beer... when expecting PBR and being dealt this is a nice turn of events... definitely finishes with a sweeter than i d like adjunct flavor, but overall for what this is, its quite decent..
