1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can:clear gold with huge white head..
scent is corn, water, air.
Taste is about the same....slight creaminess.
It is what it is. At the very least, there’s nothing BAD about it....it’s just...there..
I am impressed with the retro existence and the way they went so precise on the ABV figure. Life is in the details.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a pale yellow color with almost no head. Notes of soap, sweat, grains, and metal. Weak mouthfeel. Boo.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured a light gold/yellow with a light fizzy head that did maintain its lacing. Aroma typical of a light-macrobrew - slight malt and corn/grains. Taste is similar with a mix a malt/corn/grain with light hop finish. Very similar to regular Old Style except watered down a bit more. Palate is very thin. Overall, not too bad for a light and yet drinkable too.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
This is the newer and updated version of Old Style that came out a few years ago. I had this in a can for a whopping $1 at Wedges in Janesville, WI in late 2011.
Is a very light yellow color. Scent is quite weak of grassy grains which is about all you can taste in the beer. Basically this is what I call beer flavored water. Very thin and ordinary, something you can easily pass up. There’s a reason a 12oz can only cost $1.

1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Can. Slightly sour barley malt and grass aroma. Pale yellow color with moderate head. Light hint of malt in the flavor - otherwise not much different than carbonated water. Too bad - regular Old Style is decent but this, not so much. Get a bit more flavor leaving it in the can. On the plus side - there are no off flavors.

If you were to swap out my beer with water i might not notice. This stuff is as light as it gets.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a very clear bit darker yellow with a small froth foamy head. Aroma is herbs and corn-like, some alcohol shows through, light sweetness. Flavor follows but is much lighter than aroma indicates, light bit of grains but anything with character is covered up by the sweetness. Watery body with soft fizzy carbonation.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz can. Pours light golden, with a small white head. Aroma is a weaker version of old style regular. Flavor is an lighter version of old style regular. Light body and a sharp carbonation. Not bad, not as good as regular.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
12 oz. bottle. This says "authentically krausened" on the label, so I’m guessing it goes here. Neck label says "Think Local, Drink Local." Hmph. There are a dozen brewers more local to Chicago than this Milwaukee-contracted product. BIG skunk when opened. I let it breathe, poured into a glass, let sit a few minutes, and it’s still there. Gets a tick for looking like a beer, pilsener color, but a very thin head… oh, wait, it’s gone now. Taste is, um, fizzy. Slight touch of bitterness, but otherwise it’s fizzy water. Nothing foul or rank about it, but it’s just a bottle of nothing.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Distributor’s sample from 12-oz can. Pours a clear light golden straw colored brew with a fast dissolving white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma of thin floral hops, some golden grain cereal malt, and a touch of pear. Taste is light bodied, some extra carbonation with a hint of flavored golden grain malt and hardly no hop bitterness. Finish is watery with a touch of grittiness from the extra carbonation. Fine for the diet beer drinkers, but that is it.
