Heilemans Old Style Kraeusened Light

Distributor’s sample from 12-oz can. Pours a clear light golden straw colored brew with a fast dissolving white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma of thin floral hops, some golden grain cereal malt, and a touch of pear. Taste is light bodied, some extra carbonation with a hint of flavored golden grain malt and hardly no hop bitterness. Finish is watery with a touch of grittiness from the extra carbonation. Fine for the diet beer drinkers, but that is it.

Can, Straw color with an off-white somewhat diminishing head. Pure grain scent. I do seem to catch a touch of floral hops with a really big sniff, yet very vapid. Watery feel, and actually quite watery in taste. I just check my rating of the original and this one bears no resemblance to the on I previously rated. I’m catching little if any malt. Kraeusening must have smoothed/taken out the flavors in this one.
