biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Sep 14, 2006 No real distinguishing characteristic, in fact, no real taste. Typical American pale lager. Made for getting drunk definitely not for savoring. Had this in LaCrosse, WI, where it used to be made. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 5, 2006 It had been awhile, but I had my first old style in quite a long time in the most appropriate of environments - Wrigley Field Bleachers with a hot dog. This stuff is terrible, but something about this beer in the greatest section of the greatest ballpark makes it like heaven. Anywhere else, this stuff is disgusting. shrubber85 (2836), Wallhalben, Germany Sep 4, 2006 Updated: Jul 4, 2007Bottle. Sour barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Fairly dry barley malt flavor with very light hops. High carbonation. Decent - better than the average BMC offering. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Aug 31, 2006 On tap. Had this with a pizza and it wasn’t to bad. Clear thin yellow color with a small head. Good with food but I don’t think I would enjoy it by itself. The best thing is that it was cold. BigSkyman007 (194), USA Aug 27, 2006 One that grew a little on me after a couple cans. More flavor than National Bohemian (another Pabst/Miller brewed regional beer), but doesn’t finish quite as smooth. Works for its price(13.99 a 30 pack). Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Aug 25, 2006 Updated: Jun 6, 200712oz can- Aroma of corn and grain on a clear golden color with a thick white head that dissipates quickly. Taste of corn and water. typical pale lager.
