ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 30, 2008 Thanks to Jeremy! Light gold pour with fluffy white head. Hoppy aroma. Thin bodied easy drinker. Grainy flavor crisp, clean & refreshing Hbuck72 (122), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA Oct 28, 2008 easy to drink, CHEAP, light in color, CHEAP, no really strong smell.
Kind of reminds me of a budweiser... except its CHEAP and more carbonated.
No really distinct character, so this is not a beer that I would be really craving.
wildbillvms (36), , Illinois, USA Oct 21, 2008 This used to be my favorite beer hands down... That is, when it was brewed in LaCrosse WI. 1970’s-80s... I don’t know if the Milwaukee water makes it different now or if they tweaked the recipe? But it’s not what it was??? Overall it’s a good smooth mellow American style lager, best on tap or in a bottle ! Back then in high school there were 4 brands of beer we drank. Old Style - Strohs - Budweiser - and Old Milwaukee... And they were all good back then ? tompete (72), Burlington, Iowa, USA Oct 19, 2008 Very grainy smell almost corny. Pale on pale yellow with a light and thin white head. Very clean and light on flavor. Well carbonated. RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 Can. Grassiness, and a slight sweet malt flavor was buried under a lot of water and high carbonation. Typical pale lager. Icon from my past, add a point to 2.9 if drinking during a Cub game, otherwise, go for something else. TKA300 (99), Carbondale, Illinois, USA Oct 8, 2008 Updated: Mar 31, 2009Extremely easy to drink, especially during a Chicago Cubs game. Light in color, slight aroma like any other mass-produced light lager. And after watching the Cubs in the playoffs, a great beer to drown my sorrows. brokephibroke (137), Mead, Colorado, USA Oct 5, 2008 From memory: This beer is a bubbly sweet nastiness. While growing up on this brew, I can only drink it on the golf course now. kraziness (3), , Nebraska, USA does not count Sep 23, 2008 An easy beer to drink. Less offensive than most mass-lagers, but that’s probably a matter of personal taste. The price is right.
