bwbeall812 (27), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Jun 12, 2008 My first beer at Wrigley. The game was great but the choices for a nice brew stunk pretty bad. This one’s simple and clean. Tastes like a slightly watered down budweiser. FunkyBrewster (436), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 1, 2008 Pours a very clear, very light golden color. Almost as light as golden can get. Aroma is very light malt and skunky. Flavor is bland malt and also skunky. Pretty bad stuff. I can’t bring myself to give this beer over a 1. it is simply a resfresher when you have a ton of people and it is hot out. Still better than Beast or Nati though. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 29, 2008 another classic wisc beer that we will always be known for making. at least we can provide beer to many people around the globe. a summertime construction brew. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA May 24, 2008 Pours very light yellow with a thin white head that immediately vanishes. Nose of faint sour malt. Tastes like water with a faint grainy, sweet malt backbone. Watery mouthfeel. No aftertaste. Not bad for pale lager. BigBill (3), midlothian, Illinois, USA does not count Apr 27, 2008 Yes this is my home town beer but it’s too much like Lite and Bud Lite. I will say that when out of towners come here I tell them to drink at least a 6 pack of Old style and have a sac of White Castles...
I wish Old Style had a stronger more Beer-y brew. I do like Special Export but I don’t know about Old Style too much I drink it for the History here in Chi-town. partyninja (17), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 27, 2008 Go Cubs. At Wrigley, you can choose between Old Style and Budweiser. Is there really a choice? It’s locally available in Oregon, so I can I keep a six pack on hand at all tymes to watch the Cubbies on WGN. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Apr 23, 2008 Pours light golden with a fully receding head. Taste of light grain, some corn. Thin bodied with spritzy carbonation. No preeminent flaws, just bland, watery and boring. nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Apr 13, 2008 The official beer of the Chicago Cubs. Pours from the tall boy a clear, straw yellow with a white head that faded fast. Smells grassy and slightly sweet with light lemon aroma. Flavor is the same. Crisp finish. Drinkable but won’t challenge your palate.
