Go Cubs. At Wrigley, you can choose between Old Style and Budweiser. Is there really a choice? It’s locally available in Oregon, so I can I keep a six pack on hand at all tymes to watch the Cubbies on WGN.

Another run-of-the-mill lager that I drank when young...and on a budget. Details foggy, but low rating is accurate.

Not bad, from a pounder can. Taste like many other cheaper pale lagers and although its not over the top in personality, it does come across as a little more processed, perhaps like a beer made by city brwing. Decent and somewhat refreshing fer sure. Not sure if I could handle more than a few of these babies.

I used to drink this in college, before there was good beer in the US. It was peer pressure, I guess, since they were from Chicago and I was a New Yorker. I felt like I had to drink it, especially on football weekends. I didn’t like it very much and I used any excuse to avoid drinking it.

On tap at Wrigley because that is probably the best (only) place you should drink this. Pours clear yellow with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor are pretty bland, sweet grainy malts, some skunky notes, grass. I was at Wrigley though. I have heard stories that this wasn’t as bad many years ago.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. can. Generic pale lager. Better than BMC by a long shot, still with the sweet corn/grain flavor, but actually fairly crisp and clean. One of the best of the "old school" pale lagers. Superior to PBR, Rolling Rock, Hamm’s, etc.

bottle. Pale golden with small head. Watery lager with corn and grain. Uninspiring, but not awful.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Golden with medium white head. Aroma of grains, corn (DMS), and some hop notes. Light body that is crisp and clean with a slight bitter finish. One of the better mass produced light lager beers.
